Internet Safety

Our children are growing in an ever-changing digital world, which means internet safety and safeguarding pupils online is vital.

Children are increasingly using technology for learning, communication and entertainment, which means they must be equipped with the knowledge and skills to use the internet safely and responsibly. At Oak Grange, we play a key role in teaching pupils how to recognise online risks such as cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online scams and the sharing of personal information. However, safeguarding is most effective when schools and parents work together.

Parents can support their children by encouraging open conversations about online activity, setting appropriate parental controls, monitoring screen time and reminding children never to share personal details online. By promoting safe online habits both at school and at home, we can help children become confident, respectful and responsible digital citizens.
